Challenges
Match Group’s E&E division embarked on a private cloud re-architecture project for data growth and cost optimization. The company needed the ability to scale infrastructure by two to three times to make room for more workloads, plus machine learning and AI, while reducing costs. It needed to cut power and cooling in half and better support snapshots, because performance impacts from snapshots on the previous storage platform stood in the way of full ransomware recovery.
Results
With FlashArray™, Match Group’s E&E division can achieve three times scale, along with lower TCO, faster throughput, and greater data reduction versus its previous solution. Everpure reduces power consumption by 65% and storage footprint from 332U to 18U. Performance is not impacted at all by running snapshots, and Evergreen//Forever™ removes the need for data migration tools.
