DAI NIPPON TORYO's company-wide file server had been replaced about every five years. Each refresh required roughly four months of work, including storage design reviews, backup configuration changes, and large-scale data migration, placing a significant burden on the IT department.
At the same time, day-to-day operations had become increasingly difficult. Capacity constraints meant employees were regularly asked to delete unnecessary files, while the legacy network-attached storage (NAS) environment required ongoing effort for failure response, backup operations, and recovery of accidentally deleted data.
To address these challenges, DAI NIPPON TORYO decided to modernise its company-wide file server environment. After evaluation, the company adopted Everpure Enterprise File on FlashArray with Evergreen//Forever to build a storage platform that no longer depends on five-year replacement cycles or large-scale data migrations. The new environment also simplified storage design, improved operational efficiency through Pure1, and strengthened ransomware protection with SafeMode.
Since going live in October 2025, the environment has continued to run stably without inquiries or incidents. With routine storage operations requiring less time and effort, the IT team is now better positioned to focus resources on higher-value initiatives.
